Jackie Gallagher, Partner



- Director – Q4 Public Relations

Jackie Gallagher is a partner and director of Q4. He was a news reporter, sub-editor, business journalist and Industry and Employment Correspondent with The Irish Times for 8 years. Prior to this, he was news editor on a number of local newspapers in Leinster.

He became a senior advisor to Bertie Ahern TD at the end of 1994 when Mr Ahern became Leader of Fianna Fail. He worked with Mr Ahern and the Party’s Frontbench on policy development and media management. Following the general election in 1997, he then moved to the Department of the Taoiseach as a special advisor to Mr Ahern who became Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland.

In his public relations career, he has been a Director of Corporate Affairs at Fleishman-Hilliard, Dublin, later going on to co-found Gallagher & Kelly Public Relations, which was sold to the British media group Cordiant. In 2003, he was a founding director of Q4 and acts at the company for major national and international clients representing them in the media and advising on communications strategy and public affairs. He is a member of the Board of Governors and Guardians at the National Gallery of Ireland and is a former Director of the Museum of Modern Art.
